Plug and play karaoke machines

If you have prior experience with karaoke and want to bring your experience to whole another level, you may want to consider a plug and play karaoke machine. Most of these machines are completely equipped  so you don’t need any additional audio or video outputs. Some, however, need to be plugged in into a screen or have an option to be connected with a bigger one which makes them ideal for clubs or karaoke nights with a bunch of friends.

Plug and play karaoke systems have many advantages which makes them more popular then component systems. They are portable and self contained and are therefore easy to move without the need to reattach all those cables again. The second advantage is the power and sound quality which depends on the karaoke machine itself. With component karaoke machines the quality of sound depends on your stereo system so even if you invest more into the machine itself you still may not be satisfied with the results because your audio output may be low in wattage. Plug and play machines override this problem because they come with their own speakers, equalizers and amplifiers. That’s why, when deciding for these, you have to consider investing a little bit more in order to get a good and powerful machine. That, off course, doesn’t mean average users have to spend a bunch of money- non professional plug and play machines cost pretty much the same as component ones and their wattage is anywhere from 5 to 30 watts, which is completely suitable for at home use.

When buying a plug and play karaoke machine you need to check it’s characteristics in order to make sure it will satisfy your needs.

1. Wattage - When picking a karaoke machine have in mind that wattage is what defines the quality of sound, so you need to make your pick based on your needs. Beginners will do just fine with cheaper machines with 5-30 watts while professionals or club owners can pick anywhere between 90 to 300 watts.

2. Equipment – Always make sure you check the list of standard and additional equipment for the desired karaoke machine. Standard equipment is usually the same for most models and it includes microphones, pitch control and voice echo, while special features vary depending on the model and price.  If you want a built in hard drive, camera, wireless microphone or an i pod dock , you will definitely have to spend some extra money.
