Karaoke singing machines – Setting up the karaoke system
Most people will agree that there is nothing better than a home karaoke party. A home karaoke machine can provide you hours of great entertainment without the need to leave home or embarrassment of demonstrating your vocal skills in front of a large audience. After all, is there a better reason to call your friends to come over than a get-together on which you can all sing, laugh or even make a singing competition? You have to agree that it’s a really appealing idea! However, when the topic of installing your own karaoke system is brought up, most people tend to express their concerns about installing the system.
Most karaoke systems are “plug and play” which means you can use them as soon as they are connected to the necessary outputs. Some of them contain all needed components so all you need to do is plug them into the electricity output. Others have their own speakers and audio controls but need to be connected with a TV. The most difficult are component karaoke players because you will have to connect them with both audio and video outputs. That, off course, doesn’t mean you will spend hours trying to set it up or you will have to call a professional to do that for you. The truth is that you don’t have to be an engineer to connect your karaoke system, just follow some simple guidelines and you can have it up and running in no time.
1. Connect the karaoke player to the video output. You will do this by running a cable from the karaoke unit to your TV. In order to see the lyrics on the screen you will need a RF converter so you need two cables- one should run from the converter to the TV and the other one from the converter to the karaoke player.
2. For good audio quality, you karaoke player needs a quality set of speakers, a mixer and an amplifier. Connect the karaoke player to the mixer using appropriate cables, a mixer with an amplifier and an amplifier with the speakers. The mixer and an amplifier don’t need to be very expensive because their main purpose will be to enable better control and speaker performance.
3. Connect the microphones, make sure the TV is set to a proper channel and everything is connected correctly. Now your karaoke system is ready so you can turn it on and start singing.
